On July 17, the Monterey Museum of Art also will open our exhibition: Painters at the Press: Selected 20th Century Prints. From Matisse to Rauschenberg and Armin Hansen to Nathan Oliveira, the Museum’s vast and strong collection of prints encompasses the world of many noted regional and international artists, for whom biographical information is available. This exhibition will present a selection of exemplary works from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The Monterey Museum of Art is celebrating the opening of these exhibitions during its monthly Third Thursday Open House; this month on July 17, which takes place from 5-7 pm at 559 Pacific Street, Monterey, Ca. Admission is free, and guests are welcome to enjoy an evening of art, conversation, live music, wine, courtesy of Blazer Wilkinson, LP; and hors d’oeuvres catered by Naanva Tea.
