[Monterey, CA] Art After Hours, the popular monthly gathering, convenes at MMA Pacific Street at 559 Pacific Street from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2009. Enjoy live music by Andreas Fault, as well as great food, wine and conversation amid the magnificent 50th Anniversary exhibition, Made in Monterey. Guests can play Where Oh Where in Monterey?, a new contest that asks players to correctly identify the locations of works of art, and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a one-night stay at the Inns of Monterey. The June Art After Hours is sponsored by Foothill Partners with hors d’oeuvres provided by Bird of Paradise. Wines provided by Joullian, the official Art After Hours winery. Admission is free and there is a cash bar. Media sponsorship is provided by the Monterey County Weekly.
Made in Monterey is on view through October 25, 2009 at MMA Pacific Street. Made in Monterey is a sweeping exhibition of the most beloved and important works from the Museum’s permanent collection celebrating the painting, photography and contemporary art of California.
