Virtual Miniatures 2020

A variety of thumbnail images of Miniatures 2020 artwork submissions.

On view November 12 – December 20, 2020

The Monterey Museum of Art is excited to announce that our favorite community fundraising exhibition Miniatures will be held virtually this year! That means even more artists can participate than ever before and all can enjoy the entire Miniatures exhibition from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Celebrate our local community of artists, all Museum Members, who generously donate original artwork in support of the Museum. A diverse selection of paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture, and mixed media works will be available to view online. In the interests of the health and safety of our community we will not be holding an in-person exhibition this year.

How it works

  • View the high-resolution images of all 155 Miniatures
  • Click on the image to donate in support of that piece and enter for a chance to add that piece to your personal collection
  • Fill out the form with your information
  • Repeat for every piece you want to support – at the end of the exhibition we’ll choose a donor from each piece to take the work home with them!

As our only fundraising exhibition of the year, Miniatures raises critical funds for exhibitions and programming, funds that could not be more needed or appreciated as we continue to weather the COVID-19 global crisis. At the end of the exhibition, a donor from each piece will be chosen at random to add the piece to their own collection so make sure to donate to all your favorites! Please email miniatures@montereyart.org or call 831.372.5477 with any questions.

The Museum is grateful to all the artists participating in Miniatures, enabling the Museum to raise funds to present dynamic exhibitions, conserve collection artworks, develop meaningful educational experiences, and serve broader audiences. The wellbeing of our community, members, and staff is our top priority and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we continue to offer high quality exhibitions and programs while keeping everyone safe and healthy.
