The energy of the turbulent clouds which occupy more than half of this composition contrast dramatically with the geometric orderliness of the barns. The partial fence at the very bottom of the composition situates the viewer as a participant in the scene. Painted in Bruton-s neighborhood, this landscape recalls similar works by both Armin Hansen (with whom she studied) and neighbor Julian Greenwell.
