Hansen is quoted as saying, -€œEvery move I have made and everything I have done has always been to go back to the water and to the men who gave it its romance.-€ This powerful statement sums up Hansen-€™s life-long fascination with fishermen and their labors. Unlike many of Hansen-€™s turbulent fishing scenes, this is one of tired men returning to the welcoming dock, after what has probably been a dawn to dusk workday. They are silhouetted against the jeweled light of evening.
