Between 1978 and 1984 Ansel Adams made a selection of what he considered his most important photographic work and assembled these into a limited number of portfolios meant to be a more affordable option for the public. These were offered with the proviso that they must not be sold by the buyer on the open market, but could only be donated to Museums or other educational non-profits. One of the very rare remaining sets was generously donated to the Museum in 2013 by the Virginia Adams Charitable Trust, and is presented here.
