The Monterey Museum of Art is passionate about supporting our region’s vibrant art scene and bringing community together through participatory art experiences. The Inaugural Block Party, a new public arts festival in historic downtown Monterey, brought together over 3,000 visitors at the daytime festival and 400 visitors at the evening Dance Party. With nearly 40 collaborating artists, artisans, vendors, performers, and organizations, the public arts festival was truly a celebration of art connecting community. As part of our annual Spring Fundraiser, the event celebrates the artistic legacy of our region and raises one quarter of the Museum’s annual fundraising budget.

Thank you to our sponsors, artists, vendors, performers, and collaborators! The MMA Block Party and Dance Party will be back next year! Mark your calendars for April 6-7, 2024.
