Crafting with the artists
Award-winning Color Duets artist Erin Lee Gafill welcomes mending expert and textile activist Jaki Canterbury to the virtual round table. Cultivating connection through the actions of making and repair, the duo will lead a casual, organic group experience and gracious space.
The emphasis will be on textile arts with a gentle focus on stitching and handcrafts, but participants practicing all art forms are welcome to join one, some, or all of these making events. This is an opportunity to unearth your mending pile and patch that pair of jeans, start a watercolor painting, or knit some rows on an ongoing project — all in the company of friends!
During each session, Erin and Jaki will cultivate group-led conversation, offer informal mentorship, and create space for optional skill-sharing via virtual break-out rooms. Come create together!
